1984 Mercedes Lorinser Mini SL500 Junior

This Lorinser Mercedes SL 500 Mini is in good condition and complete. It is fully working with just some signs of age related marks but, importantly, there is no damage to the body.

Finished in white, the mini SL 500 has some chips to the front of the grille and there are one or two places where the paint has cracked. The composite body is generally in good condition and shouldn't take much to repaint if somebody felt the need to.

The boot lid opens and closes as it should. The headlight and indicators to the front and rear are all in good order, with no cracks to the lenses. Please note these are just lenses and do not light up.

The windscreen is in good condition with no obvious scratches to mention. The wheels are three spokes with good tyres.

There is a single vinyl covered seat which adjusts forwards and backwards, and is in good condition, and the steering wheel is also in good condition. To the left is the ignition key and to the right the gear lever.

Open up the boot lid to reveal the 80cc 4-stroke Honda engine and gearbox. You also fill the fuel tank from here.

The chassis is constructed from a steel box section frame, with the engine and gearbox mounted to it, then driven by a chain to the rear wheels. The gearbox is a 2-speed plus reverse, which is selected via a foot operated clutch pedal.

The car starts up nicely, as with any Honda, and drives as it should. The speed was reported to be limited to 25 kph.

Built by the Mercedes tuning company, Lorinser, the mini Mercedes were exclusively delivered through Mercedes dealers.
