Exterior

Handsomely finished in Beluga (black) over visually striking two-tone leather upholstery, believed to be Breeze with Black and contrasting stitching ($1,980), this 2015 Bentley Continental GT V8 S is a very fine representative of the marque’s high-performance 2-door model range. The V8 S model includes aerodynamic body work and red-centered Bentley badges distinguishing it from the base GT, and shiny exterior chrome and stainless steel trim on the windows, door handles, head/tail light surrounds, grill, side skirts, and exhaust add a bit of contrast to the dark paint. Two-tone polished and black factory 21″ wheels wear Yokohama ADVAN Sport A/S+ ultra-high performance all-season tires to round out the look of this lovely Bentley.

Interior

Renowned for sporting luxury, this 2015 Bentley Continental GT V8 S is no exception, with the interior swathed in rich Connolly leather in a compelling, two-tone Breeze and Black color combination with contrasting stitching. It features the "Mulliner Driving Specification" ($11,235), which includes an indented hide to the leather headliner, quilted and perforated seats, door/rear quarter panels, "jewel" fuel and filler caps, embroidered Bentley emblems, and drilled alloy sport pedals. Massaging and ventilated front seats ($1,070) are a much-appreciated creature comfort keeping you comfortable on long trips. Touchscreen navigation, an audiophile-quality stereo, CD changer ($665), HVAC climate control A/C, and virtually every power assist and amenity imaginable conspire to deliver a purposefully luxurious ambience and driving experience. A 'Monrony Label' window sticker in the photo gallery shows the full specs and options breakdown.

Mechanical

Stunning performance potential comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine delivering the uprated ‘S’ power rating of 528 factory-rated horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 502 pounds-feet of stump-pulling peak torque at just 1,700 engine revolutions. An 8HP90 8-speed automatic transmission delivers swift shifts and manual-shift capability. Other factory performance options include automatic full-time all-wheel drive, 4-corner auto leveling suspension, front and rear HD anti-roll bars, adjustable automatic with driver control ride height and sport tuned adaptive suspension, hydraulic power-assist speed-sensing steering, and 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes with ABS, brake assist, hill hold control, and electric parking brake. The potent ‘S’ specification turbocharged and intercooled V-8 engine, surrounding engine compartment, aerodynamic undertrays, and chassis/suspension are all presented in clean and unmodified OEM order throughout, indicative of proper adult ownership and use.

History

According to the clean Carfax vehicle-history report, this modern-classic Bentley GT has three prior owners, and it was located in Florida, Texas, California, and Georgia during its lifetime to date. The full complement of dealer-issued books and manuals, plus a Bentley trickle-type battery charger (still inside the original box) are included. A full list of factory and extra options is detailed in the photo gallery.

Summary

From initial launch, the Continental GT marked a new era for Bentley and expanded mightily upon the marque’s performance reputation with sleek styling more than a little reminiscent of the potent R-Type Continental of the 1950s. Methodically developed, upgraded and uprated throughout production, the modern Continental GT more than lives up to its luxurious Grand Touring personality with amazing speed and a massive performance envelope in all disciplines to match its premium market stature. Delivering even more of a great thing with its uprated ‘S’ specification, this example is a true modern classic Bentley that begs to be driven and enjoyed as originally intended.
