This Silver Spur is a 1989 model making it a Silver Spur II. The Silver Spur II was introduced at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show. The biggest change was the introduction of “Automatic Ride Control,” a fully automatic system capable of adjusting the dampers at all four wheels in real time. ABS and fuel injection became standard equipment for all models and markets. The powerplant was unchanged, a 6.75L V8 coupled with a 3-speed General Motors Turbo Hydramatic 400 Automatic transmission.
This Spur’s exterior is a light metallic blue. The chrome front bumper needs some polishing, same as the blue vinyl roof. There are chips in the paint between the panel gaps primarily between the front and rear doors. Some rubber trim along the rear windshield has come loose from the car. There is a small bubble in the paint on the passenger side rear door, but it does not appear to be corrosion related. Lastly, there is a portion of the clear coat that has failed on the passenger’s front quarter panel. Overall, the exterior is in fair condition.
The inside of this Silver Spur features a wide array of colors and materials. The seats are white leather with blue piping, the carpets are navy blue, and the dashboard is made with a mix of fine wooden inlays and blue leather. The passenger compartment features absolutely exquisite woodwork. The white leather seats could use a deep clean, but they would likely benefit greatly from that. The passenger compartment is fantastic. The center tray shows minor wear and tear around the edges, but the wood on both sides is clean. While the massive wooden counter is exquisite, there are some minor scratches in the wood on both sides at each edge. Down by the floor, there are some tiny scratches in the wood towards the center. The interior inside this Spur is both beautiful and well kept.
This limousine sports a V8 under the hood, and we are quite pleased with the engine bay's tidiness.
From what we can gather, the seller acquired the car in 2012.
The Silver Spur available here is in good condition. Exterior imperfections are incredibly minor, and the interior is in unbelievably nice shape as well. Thanks to fantastic suspension, supremely comfortable seats, and a gorgeous dash, this is a wonderful opportunity to purchase a fantastic Rolls that is both classically styled and new enough to have all of the modern creature comforts you could want at an excellent price.
