The vendor, a classic car specialist, describes the car as follows.

“This 924 turbo is a model year 1981, with the upgraded 177hp engine and dog leg five-speed gearbox.

It is equipped with its original engine and gearbox, thus matching numbers, stated by its Porsche Birth Certificate (COA).

This Porsche 924 Turbo was originally delivered in Italy, it is completely original and in very good condition.

The interior is well conserved with only minimal signs of usage, the upholstery and the seats clearly indicate that this car was used with care and caution.

The car is also equipped with the original luggage cover in the trunk, the original tool kit is also present.

We gave this nice car a complete technical service and check-up, with replacement of many parts: timing belt, turbo, exhaust, all oils, filters and spark plugs, all ignition parts, front brake rotors and pads, miscellaneous hoses and lines, steering linkages. We also restored and resprayed the alloy wheels, which make them look as new again.”

The metallic black paintwork looks very good. The bodywork is largely devoid of any dinks, dents or creases of any significance that we can see and the finish retains an impressive depth of lustre and shine.

The panel gaps and shut lines are consistent and even.

There are a few paint chips on the wing mirrors and, in places, the rubber trim has faded a little.

There are some scuffs, chips and scratches around both front light clusters.

Some paint has worn away at the base of both ‘A’ pillars by the windscreen.

The rubber on the rear spoiler is just starting to perish and crack in one or two places.

The leading edges of the doors and bonnet have a few paint chips here and there.

The lights, lenses and badging all seem to be in good order.

The refurbished wheels look very fine.

The interior of the car looks to be entirely original, authentic and in almost time-warp condition.

The caramel-coloured door cards and carpets contrast perfectly with the ‘Kashmir Beige’ tweed upholstery on the front and rear seats. The combination makes this a particularly warm and inviting interior.

The upholstery is in remarkable condition and is showing very few signs of wear or use that we can see.

The door cards are in good order, as is the headlining. There is a very elaborate-looking period Panasonic music system – complete with graphic equalisers - in situ on the headlining.

The carpets and mats are virtually as good as new throughout.

There are a couple of long cracks in the material at the top of the dashboard.

As far as we’re aware, all dials, switches, knobs, levers and instruments do what they’re supposed to do.

Aside from a couple of spots of what seems to be entirely superficial rust dust, the undersides of the car appear to have a good deal of structural integrity.

The engine and engine bay are clean, dry and everything appears to be in its right and proper place.

The car doesn’t come with any service records, history or documentation beyond what is shown in the gallery section.

This car has clearly been cared for and maintained to a very high standard over the years. The vendor has spent a decent amount of time and money getting it into the best mechanical condition and we can confirm that it drives very well indeed.
